Most of your extra points we have thought of especially walking the cones and obstacles, this is the danger point.
Groups of 6 can walk obs 1 while another group of 6 can walk obs2 give say a 5minute walk time for each obs then they move around clockwise to the next obstacle for 5 minutes then leave the arena in their own group, then same again with next group. I think that would work if policed properly. Cone walking; drivers only again following the 6 rule.

The no stop rule good idea.

Restricting numbers in the warm up area is a must for safety sake if not for Covid.

Not thought about poo picking as we normally do it ourselves or it does not get done!!

Some very good ideas Ad thanks for your input, all will be considered.

I've been looking at the Covid measures for Indoor events (thank you to whoever took the extra time and trouble to put these together). It seems to me that walking the obstacles is the time of biggest risk. Might I humbly suggest a few additions for the consideration of organisers?

o Allow extra time for walking obstacles

o Divide walking time up into 2 or more groups (as we do at the finals)

o Have a NO STOP rule -- people who want to stop and chat with their groom about the route should move well outside the obstacle

o Consider the design of obstacles to minimise crossover points and bottlenecks for the obvious routes people will walk (I've tried it -- it's not as hard as it sounds -- often reversing gates or putting the E gate as a pair of cone outside the main obstacle will solve the problem)

o Make obstacle diagrams available in advance of the competition (people may be able to rearrange their furniture at var/www to give themselves a couple of walk-thoughs in advance)

o Break large classes up so there are only 5 or 6 people warming up at any one time.

o Set class times for driving obstacles (although it makes life more complicated, it will reduce the number of people milling around or popping in and out of the arena to see where we've got to.)

An additional point is that lots of people handle the pooh picking equipment in the warmup arenas -- perhaps competitors could be encouraged to bring their own for their warm-up period?
