Alan - yes, there is still a good amount of traffic coming to the forum, although perhaps not coming as regularly or frequently as in the past.
I encourage all event organisers to post their start times here because not everyone is on Facebook or can't get it, for various reasons, when they are out-and-about or at events.
It's also an important place where last-minute news can be posted - and easily seen. Getting people to read the forum before they set out on the morning of an event would be a Good Thing, in my view - one place, one message for the organiser to post.
It's a place where anyone can see the start times easily, check their or their friends' times at their own or at another area's event, see when there's any news - such as roadworks or (worst case) a cancellation.
The forum is far more accessible to everyone - it's quick to post a text message here and it means there's a focus - you never know, people might even read the news and other important information while they are here...
And I think it might help to get more people to come and watch at events, too - even if just one person goes along to watch, that's a bonus! |
