Notes for competitors – Arena UK: when you arrive

When you arrive at Arena UK their stable manager will check your horsebox/trailer’s registration and ask you for your ID and £10 cash per stable booked.
You will get a receipt: keep this until you leave and you will get £10 back for each (clean) stable.

Passports and equine flu vaccination records
Every competitor is being sent an email with instructions and a link to their records to add photos of horse/s identification and passport details to our database: if you have used the system before, you can update your horse’s latest vaccination records or add a new horse.
It saves all of us time if you can do this before your arrival: thank you.
(If you can’t do this for any reason, please complete what you can and bring your horse passports with you when you pick up your paperwork.)

Stables, parking and hook-ups
Stables, parking and hook-ups are allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you want to have stabling next to a friend’s horses and/or parking next to a friend’s horsebox/trailer/caravan, you must arrive together OR the first person to arrive must tell the stable manager the friend’s name and registration of the friend’s vehicle AND pay the deposits for all the stables. The stable manager will tell you which stables are yours and where to park: parking will normally be near your horse’s stable.

There is an area specially for those camping with tents and an area for those who are using their own secure, purpose-built side stabling. (No electric fencing or corrals are allowed.) Please ask when you arrive.

Note that those who have not booked hook-ups may not necessarily be able to park close to those with hook-ups.

Tip: Moto Grantham North service station, NG32 2AB, is five minutes’ drive from Arena UK, NG32 2EF, with a large parking area and all the usual facilities – it’s a good place to meet before arrival.

Reminder: Arena UK sells haylage and bedding on site at £10/bale.
Bed-nuts and shavings only are allowed.
Bring your own barrow, broom and mucking-out tools – clearly identifiable, marked with your name.
Clear your stable and clean it thoroughly before you leave.

Security
Mark your harness, carriage and other movable kit: take photos.
Keep your kit secure at all times.
Lock your vehicles and horseboxes when they are unattended.
