We are sadly selling Alice, our 16.2hh Irish Draught x thoroughbred 11yr old bay mare. We have had Alice for 2.5years, my daughter bought her when she was 14 and coming off ponies. My daughter is going back to ponies as she is missing gymkhana and general pony fun. She has loved this mare very much and she is very upset but she isn't ready for a big serious horse just yet whilst all her friends are still at gymkhana! Alice has a proven showing track record, Georgia has shown her at Keysoe and Arena UK and won championships going through to evening performances, in top hat and tails. Alice loves to perform in an arena with the music and flowers etc... She has competed and been placed top 3 at PUK and qualified for Royal London etc..Alice's favourite activities are cross country and hunting. In their first ODE they came 3rd out of 32. Alice is an amazing xc horse, put her in canter and she stays there, she regularly goes as a pair and sometimes has to stop mid course and wait for the pony to catch up! She will jump dressing fences side by side happily. She loves to hunt, ideal for a huntsman or huntslady,loves ditches and has good speed, but stops happily. She has never bucked or reared all the time we have had her. She is great to handle and my 11yr old often takes her in from the field, she even rides her in simple walk, trot, dressage tests. She will travel in a trailer or lorry and goes straight up, travels great and will wait in lorry or trailer until it is time for her class. She is a good doer and is in great condition. She is on a farm and fine with the heavy machinery.
