Christmas themed, safe, fancy dress is encouraged for this event but it’s not at all compulsory – there will be cash and goodies as PRIZES for the best dressed turnouts by ballot, so bring lots of friends to vote for you. Cash prizes generously donated by Janet Gould Upholstery. Nina and Gary Snow of Frinton Coachman are sponsoring extra rosettes and prizes for the best P&P test, cones score and for the fastest turnout in each obstacle, too. Club Class rosettes kindly sponsored by Riki Hyde-Chambers. There’s a cosy café on site and a cash and carry shop for petfood and horse feed which will be open. The next event is planned for Saturday, 29 January at Wix EC. Closing date for entries is ten days before the event (first post Thursday, 20 January). Thanks! Programme: P&P is followed by the cones course being laid out and walked by all competitors. Cones are driven in class and number order, as for P&P. After cones, the obstacles are laid out and walked. Obstacles 1 & 2 – are driven in class order, each competitor going in reverse place order (best result goes last), see noticeboard and listen to the commentator for your placing. Obstacles 3 & 4 – are driven in class order, then by reverse place order (which might have changed). There will be a PRESENTATION of rosettes and prizes either at the end of your class or of the event – please listen for announcements. Rosettes for everyone down to sixth place, including Club Class. From the A12 Take the A120 EAST (to Harwich) At Horsley Cross roundabout, (water tower on left, Cross Inn pub), go STRAIGHT OVER (still on A120) After about half a mile, go RIGHT, signposted WIX, and follow the road which runs parallel to the A120. n.b. You can't turn off the A120 into Wix village centre. Follow this road past Goose Green into Wix village. At the cross-roads in the village (Waggon pub on right), go RIGHT - signposted Clacton Road. Wix EC is at Clay Hall, on LEFT. Please park tidily, as directed, and leave a safe distance - 4 metres or so - between your vehicle and the next. DOGS must be kept on leads, please!
