Hi Lisa
I live on Epsom Downs! If you are looking for lesson I suggest Pippa. I both work for her and am trained by her and she is a true professional. I am sure she would be happy to give you a lesson and assess whether she thinks your ready to attempt Merrist Wood. Check out her website and give her a ring https://www.broomells.com/
She is an amazing teacher, a superb driver, and a really nice person to meet.

Also being in the right catchment area can I suggest you have a look at and consider joining Brockham Harness Club. www.brockhamharnessclub.co.uk
We are a really friendly club running several events within your area, and im sure it would really benefit you being a member.

Hi Lisa, you'll also find Pippa Bassett on the list Mike has directed you to. All three are very well respected.

The new year book is available from this website, you'd start off in novice pony class, this is a very popular and well subscribed class in the south east.

Beware though - this is sooooo addictive and brilliant fun!

Hi Lisa, sorry no-one's got back to you ...

I think your nearest hdt trainers are probably Sara Howe or Minta Winn, both well recommended and approachable. You can find their details here on the BHDTA site.

Alternatively contact your local organiser direct to see who else does assessments/advice near you.

Give it a go!

Hello, I am keen to get involved with Indoor Driving, I have a small shetland and I am a novice. I see there are events at Merrist Wood - can anyone recommend or advise where to go for training or lessons so the instructor could advise if they think i am ready to have a go? I presume there are beginner classes? I am a member of a driving club and have enjoyed pleasure drives and a training class and would really like to try this. Many thanks indeed. Lisa Emery
