As many will be aware, my web site - www.peterbphotography.co.uk - was attacked by a group of hackers. The damage was so great that it quicly became obvious it was futile to try and repair/recover anything from the site; you might think of it as a software cesspit it was so bad. I suspect the reason for the attack was that the website was hosted by a server company based in Texas and as the hackers described themselves as Muslim terrorists, I guess they attacked all websites on the server and my site was on the wrong host at the wrong time. In early December I abandoned the web site based in the US leaving all the viruses, trojan horses and malware behind and opened a new website with the same address but now hosted in the UK. The new website is clean with new copies of the original pages, but sadly it was not safe to bring any of the galleries created over the last 2 years and they too have been left behind. I still have the originals and can recreate them, but do not intend to do so unless requested. So the good news is that my web site is now up and running and is clean and safe. If anyone would like to order pictures from previous galleries please contact me and I will repost them. There are a few up already. Now for the bad news. Price rises will take effect from 1 Jan 2011. The VAT increase is partly to blame but also I have held my prices for 3 years so they must catch up. However the little bit of good news is that if you ask me to repost a gallery before 1 Jan 2011 I will honour the old prices. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all Regards Peter |
