i have done mounted games whilst driving a scurry pair it is great fun and means your groom can get involved aswell.

WE had a barrel race as one of the obstacles in our hdt a couple of years ago it proved to be great fun!

You can do mounted games with carriages! I think some different fun variations would be brilliant as well as the normal indoor and outdoor trials. Mrs Ham has posted on facebook some of the time trial driving at Cricklands and that looks brilliant fun! You can find it on you tube too.

This was done at Paard en Koets a couple of years ago and proved a real crowd pleaser.
It was all small ponies though (Shetlands) and one even fell over but easily came up again as they were hitched to downsized racing sulkies so had a really low centre of gravity.
One Shetland team competed in an ordinary trials vehicle and did very well though. I believe there is something on UTube of it.

I have watched western style barrel racing on horses, and I beleive they do the same sort of thing with wagons and pairs in the US. Has anyone tried this with singles in the UK? Could this be the carriage driving version of mounted games?
