As the scorer for Sparsholt I can confirm I scored the event:
Cones: 3 per knock down. I would only count 3 penaulties if you were unlucky to knock say both balls off at any particular "Pair" of cones or if really unlucky if you knocked all the balls off you would score 30 not 60 as there a 10 gates.
Marathon: I scored 5 per knockdown.
I believe the rule has only been changed for the cones. The marathon stays the same.

Actually the newsletter part I quoted below on cones penalties either changes the rules or is slightly wrong.

It's not any ball knocked off in cones, its up to 3 penalties per pair of cones. I.e. if you knock off both balls of a pair of cones, you should only get 3 penalties.

Too much confusion round here - maybe rules shouldn't be amended by newletter.... which is it, IHDTC?

"962 1.2: All obstacles consisting of a single pair of cones will constitute a single obstacle. Knocking down one or both balls
of a single Obstacle and knocking down a ball or an element of a Multiple Obstacle incurs 3 penalties in each case."

"In the cones phase any ball knocked off will incur three penalty points; in the obstacle phase a ball knocked off an obstacle element will incur five penalty points"

This is from the newsletter at equifor.com. Also you can work it out from the rules on this site, given that indoor follows BHDTA rules except when explicitly changed: (see 2.26 for obstacles explicitly 5 points, cones is 3 points as it implicitly follows BHDTA/FEI).
