Crazy idea! The driver is in control of the turnout (hopefully) and can't possibly be if the groom is moving around and unbalancing the vehicle. The thought of a groom with something in his hand which could possibly get caught in the wheels is not worth considering. Nice to know your thinking of ideas though Martyn |

I'm not keen on this idea but I'm not sure why! Maybe it's because it's beginning to get away from the original concept of the competition; that it is the same as driving trials, just indoors. Which actually may or may not be a good thing! |

Let’s do away with the dummy on the back step in cones!! How about bringing in an element where the back stepper has to do something? Taking an idea from gymkhanas: The team enter the arena pass through the start of the timer dives through a couple of cones then you have to pickup a flag that is in an obstacle up right, dive some more cones then put the flag back in the holder. Completing the course. I think it would be good to keep the optimum time. As this will reduce the opportunity for scurrying. You could make it harder by having a knock down on the flag holer so that the flag has to be lifted and replaced with care! |
