We too have a Belvoir surface and it is practically maintainance free. It's been down now for about 3 years- we laid it over our old surface of silica sand and rubber chunks which had become heavy and deep. The only time we couldn't use it was when we had those extreme frosts of -15 last year but normal frosts are no problem. There is only one disadvantage and that is our dog seems to think it is a canine "ball pit"!!!!! She is always bringing out pieces of the rubber for people to throw for her!!! Other than that, can recommend it! | ||

we laid 4ins of flat rubber from Belvoir on top of a local silica sand which is used for children's sand pits - cheaper than the best silica sand that comes from Kings Lynn, which is grey and much finer grained. Should be fine on the surface you describe - best not to mix it. It's great for driving on and we haven't had to level it for about 2 years. The flat strips give a smooth ride and the arena is useable all year round - doesn't freeze up. https://belvoirequestriansurfaces.co.uk/ Jess | ||

just renewing the surface on my school,any advice on best surface for driving,thinking about rubber,how deep?can i lay it on top of taram and firm sand,or do i have to mix it with silica sand ?thanks. |
