thanks clanger

advantage to that I would guess would be that using the same test one can more accurately guage improvement throught the season. .... overall taking different judges opinions I suppose.

I did learn a lot from the judge even though she was judging her first driven dressage..... she was experienced in ridden judging and we talked about the same criteria applying. Although we did discuss what effect it would have on the overall movement of a horse having to push into the harness rather than carry a rider . something she said she would need to discuss further with more experienced driving judges :-).

I wonder what she will say if she judges the next one ?

Yes, all regions use the same test for all events of the season. However a different test will be used at the National Finals at Keysoe. Nobody will know what that test will entail until a few weeks before the event.

Your real advantage of writing for the judge is not just that you get to learn the test by watching it many times, but you also get to learn exactly what that particular judge is looking for.

All the best,

Chris

helo all

I stewarded at an event last week and am joining a club to find out more about driving trials. I wrote for the judge and learnt a lot but forgot to ask this ..... is the same test ( no 3) used all season at all events ????

( one advantage of stewarding is one begins to know it quite well having watched it 18 times before even thinking of driving it LOL)
