Three-day First Aid at Work course Successful participants get a top level (TQUK* Level 3) first aid qualification that lasts for three years, QCF credits, plus a certificate, course documentation and optional post-course weekly refresher video by email for eight months. Who: this course is for anyone at work, in business and is also ideal for anyone running events, such as horse driving, horse riding competitions or rallies. When: Wednesday - Friday, 3-5 February, 2016 Where: near Woodbridge, Suffolk, 10 minutes from A12 Cost: £225 per person, including VAT and refreshments. "This accredited qualification is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within industry and wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982." Topics covered include: the roles and responsibilities of the First Aider; assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis. The qualification is assessed by on-going oral and/or written questioning and practical demonstration - it is valid for three years and a two-day refresher course within three years will keep it valid.
