Thanks for reply... I know the reason for breaching being in place but I’m asking why has this rule been introduced.. a novice/inexperienced driver shouldn’t be driving multiples .. I wasn’t aware of the rule change (my problem should of read the fine print).. but more why on an indoor dragging surface? X | ||

The breeching rule was introduced last winter season. (2017-2018) Breeching is the braking system of the harness to prevent the horse being struck behind by the carriage, if this happens there is a strong possibility of a run away/accident. Not all carriages have brakes, especially two wheelers. An inexperienced/novice driver could be at risk, therefore the committee ruled that the breeching rule should stand again, for all classes, for this season and possibly be reviewed at the Keysoe Meeting 2019. . | ||

Please note that breeching is to be used on all singles, pairs and team/tandem wheelers. This applies to ALL drivers regardless to whom they may be. |
