Hi Guest,

On the questions about qualifications I'm consulting Dick Carey and still wanting to finalise an answer on 1) - I'm suggesting that if you qualify in two regions whichever one you qualify in first counts and yes, then the second person goes through. - but Dick/Rita may have a better scheme.

2 - yes, you always your best scores up to one less than the number of events in the region. So 4 events total means count your best 3.

In another thread someone asked if shared [multi-region] events should be included when working out how many best scores count - the answer seems like No. See how many non-multi events you have, subtract one. So suppose you have 8 events in a region and share one, making 9 total; we just take the 8 events dedicated to the region, subtract one, so you count your 7 best scores. Your score in the multi-region event can be one of these 7 - you are supposed to say which region you'll count it to before you start the event.

(..and we were trying to keep it all simple....)

1.)If you are competing at 2 venues 'a'&'b', and you finish 1st in your class at each venue. Do you have to nominate a venue to qualify at. i.e; you choose venue 'a'. does the person who finished 2nd to you at venue 'b' qualify in your place?

2.)If a venue only has 4 events do you still drop the scores from one? so only 3 events count as opposed to 5 in other areas.

Its my birthday!!

Probably shouldn't be shouting it from the rooftops at the grand old age of 40 but what the heck............ I just wanted to pop a little message on to say everyone is welcome..... If you are in the vacinity of Bourne End, Buck on Saturday 15th December then please feel free to pop in to the Firefly Pub (next to the train station), we will be having music and a bit of eats.... everyone welcome.

My apologies to anyone I have not personally invited but i am a bit hopeless with phones, as anyone that knows me will tell you, so I have not got all the numbers!

anyway ... enough waffle... please feel free to pop in.

Clare

The Thames Valley points are on the Equifor site, I think just Phil hasn't yet added the link to his main points league page. You can see them:

Hi, Clare - I note that you had a Thames Valley event on 4 November and the results are available. I suggest "someone" contacts the wonderful Phil Nadin and calculates and sends him the points and asks him to update the region...
I imagine that, if there are only 3 events, the qualification rules still apply, but to the best 2 results? I'm asking! I suggest you speak to your organiser. It might be possible to organise another event later in the season? (But don't tell anyone that I said this!)

Hope this helps? F

Hi Fiona

I hope everyone is well.
I was wondering what happens in the event of an event being cancelled?
Unfortunately we lost the first event this season to foot and mouth which means there are only 3 events remaining.
I am competing in the Thames Valley area which Sally has worked wonders to organise for us - Good on her :-)

I also notice that Thames Valley is not listd on the Equifor site in the points league

Thanks
Clare Heath

Pete, Phil Nadin of Equifor keeps the tally for all areas for the season, see www.equifor.com

You are probably aware that the score that counts is the total number of points for all your area's events minus 1 (e.g. 6 events - take your best 5 results - anyway, see the Indoor Rules for a full explanation. They also tell you how many qualify from each class.)
The best junior drivers are usually invited to their own classes at the Finals. If you don't qualify yourself this time, come and watch so you'll know what to expect!

How do you qualify for the finals, is there a league table by class or is there one qualifying event.
