My understanding is that it should be the pony's nose at the mark. Some judges take a view that from shoulder to nose at the mark is good enough.

The issue's been muddied indoors in the past perhaps because the tandems didn't have enough room to get straight and halt in previous Precision and Paces tests so then it was "front axle" at the mark. It'll usually say in the test if it's NOT the pony's nose... Hope this helps!

If anyone else has different ideas, please post!

Please can someone confirm if when you halt at "B" - is it the ponies nose or front axle ?? Also is it the same at "G" ??
