We're keen to support younger drivers and some regions including Scotland (Young Chariots?) and East Anglia will accept even younger drivers subject to some additional rules and safety considerations (worked out for BHDTA events and clinics) https://www.indoordriving.co.uk/pdf/IHDTYoungDriversAddRules.pdf These include safety assessment and younger drivers being accompanied by a responsible adult driver with an extra set of reins. Also they need independent insurance cover for liability since the club policies unfortunately don't cover very young drivers under 10. |

The minimum age of a driver is 10 years, but the backstepper must be a experienced adult aged 18 years or over. |

Hi, does anyone know if there is a minimum age for junior drivers to compete? |
