Covid-19 Competition Details for Competitors

During this period, Vale View will be following Government guidelines.

Details of these are as follows and must be followed at all times …..

It is advised that competitors only attend activities which is either within the region they reside or their show centre closest to var/www. We regret that anybody residing in lockdown areas cannot attend any event. (This includes owners, drivers and grooms).
Carriage drivers may only be accompanied by one other person with one additional person for every additional horse entered. Please follow our horse one way system at all times. No spectators at all.

Lorry parking: park in accordance with social distancing regulations. Tacking up to take place within this parking area. No horses to be tied up outside lorries. No cars to be parked in Lorry park.

No prize-giving will take place on the day and all results will be posted online. There will not be any P&P sheets available, all results will be posted on line. Rosettes will not be presented so they can be either collected at the next event or if not, on request we will post it to you.

Social distancing should be adhered to with between 1-2m between members at all times. Members should wash/sanitise hands regularly. We have sanitising stations throughout the centre. We advise that the use of face masks and gloves to be used at all times. Masks are compulsory within the Vale View building at all times – There is zero tolerance on this rule and offenders will be requested to leave.

Our on site catering is open for take away foods only. Social distancing must be maintained throughout the purchasing and consumption of any food and drink. There is a one-way system operating throughout the main building incorporating the WC’s and restaurant. Please follow these guidelines. Our WC’s will be cleaned on a regular basis. Members should follow suitable hand washing protocol. We would advise any member who has their own toilet facility within their horsebox to use their own as preference.

We advise that all visits should be recorded, including petrol stations and any other places visited, to allow for tracking if this is necessary in future.

We at Vale View would like to say a big thank you to all of you for your support, patience and understanding during this difficult time and we hope that you are looking forward to the resumption of shows as much as we are looking forward to seeing you here.

Further Rules and Regulations - Indoor Driving Specifications

- MANY OF THESE POINTS ARE COMMON SENSE - PLEASE READ AND ABIDE BY THESE RULES AS OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. Thank you -

We are asking people to wear masks and keep at least 2m apart when course walking. We are allowing the driver ONLY to walk the cones to keep numbers to a minimum.

No congregating in other competitors’ transport of any kind unless from the same bubble.

There will be short allotted times for groups of 10 competitors to walk the cones course. Competitors walking the cones course will do so in a ‘one-way’ system to avoid crossovers. Obstacle phase will allow groups of 10 (5 drivers, 5 grooms) per obstacle and each group will rotate to the other obstacle after an allotted time. DO NOT stop within the obstacle to discuss - please move away to avoid crossovers. FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.

To help the cones and obstacles to run smoothly, each competitor will have a copy of the courses before the event. This will be emailed to all competitors after the closing date (Tuesday 6th of October). Please note - there may be slight changes to the course on the day.

Only designated officials and helpers are to touch the course elements (dressage markers, cones and obstacle components).
Number bibs will be accessible from the entrance to the dressage arena. They will be set in number order - please only handle your numbered bib. On their return, please place in the red plastic bin.

As we are limited to amount of helpers we can have, please be patience as course building may take a little longer than usual.

Thank you. Carrie
