Traffic news!
If you are planning to travel to Wix EC, CO11 2RU, on the A137 through Manningtree and (I think) the railway crossing, please check your route, you may need to allow extra time owing to road closures and diversions over the weekend.

Please check out www.essexhighways.org

All positions are now filled - thank you.

Please find below the diagram for the cones and the obstacles. There will be copies at the event.

Everyone will be put in a group, mainly sticking to number order - see the notice board.

In your group, collect in the warm-up arena about 10 minutes before your group's start. Come into the main arena when asked, go straight to the start and drive the complete cones course, cross the finish.

Then turn around and go through the start for obstacle 1, at the far end of the arena. Cross the finish line.

Turn around and go through the start, drive obstacle 2, pass the finish. Please go towards the main exit doors to leave the arena - you may be held up to let the next driver enter the arena safely. Return to the warm-up and come back in, in turn, to drive obstacles 3 and 4.

Please note that all balls/knockdowns are 'live' at all times.

See you there!
Fiona

We've got a lovely keen volunteer for the judge's writer's position, 9-10:30.

Is there anyone out there who'd like to help for about an hour-and-a-half, 10-30 to about 11:45, please?

If so, please contact me! 07710 467774

Free tea and butties!
Thank you...

If someone would like to write for the judge at C, 9-11:45, I'd be grateful if you'd contact me?
Free refreshments in return for your expertise holding up a number while writing it down on the scoresheet.

Another vacancy - we need an extra steward to speed things up, safely holding up the driver finishing their round so the next driver can enter the arena... please contact me?

Yes, we are planning to build the cones and obstacles at the same time. Everyone will walk the course and obstacles and you'll drive the cones then obstacles 1 and 2 before leaving the arena. Go back to the warm-up and come back to drive 3 and 4 in turn in your group.

Thank you!

Thank you all for your entries!
Please find below the provisional start times.
Be aware that these may change if someone before you withdraws.
Please check your time when you arrive and register (tick your name on the list) and pick up your number bib (or you can use your own bib, of course).
Kindly be ready at least 10 minutes before your start time - thank you.

Parking - please do it prettily - snuggle up close to the lorry or trailer next to you while making allowance for safety, of course.

Pop your carriage neatly away alongside your box or trailer when you're not driving - this is Health & Safety advice.

And keep the area around your parking clean and tidy throughout the day, so we'll be welcome back.

Thanks to judges Mike Daniell and Amanda Gillet, scorer Alayne Gill, ace stewards Flik Mainwaring, Wendy Wyatt and other stars.
