Saturday evening, 2nd April, at the Championships, is the night of the first ICD-UK wheelbarrow challenge!
Every region is invited to put forward teams of six people and can enter as many teams as they want to take part in this unusual relay challenge.
Each team of six people is formed of three pairs and each pair competes in the team relay, pushing and navigating the wheelbarrow by holding one barrow handle each while going through a short course of cones.
Teams must bring their own wheelbarrow - a speedy change of drivers will be vital!
The usual indoor cones rules apply; teams will be timed and there will be penalties for balls down. We do not expect there to be backsteppers in the wheelbarrow, although fancy dress is encouraged!
Everyone in the regional teams is welcome to take part - drivers, backsteppers, support crew, friends, family and organisers.
Teams must register with the secretary before 4pm on Saturday. Prizes for the successful teams - and of course the prestige of being the first Indoor Wheelbarrow Challenge Champions!
