Here are pictures of the winning obstacle designs to be used at Wix IHDT tomorrow 8th March with the 'check your route length' feature! How exciting! I am looking forward to seeing pictures of people negotiating 'my' obstacle. I wish I lived nearer so that I could be there. I hope everyone enjoys it and doesn't curse me too much! Angela x | ||

You'll be pleased to know that Roger has judged the entries. He said they were all very usable and was very pleased at the standard of design. It was a difficult choice, but Angela Cherrington's Face obstacle offered, he felt, the greatest number of options to drivers and so she's the winner with Grace Smith as runner-up. We plan to use Angela's winning design on Saturday and might be able to use Grace's, too. Thank you all very much for entering! Owing to everyone having lost their pencils - or something(?!) - we are extending the obstacle design competition to 23 February. I will bring pencils and paper to our event so those present can scribble on the day and Roger can judge them. If you aren't coming to our event, please send your design(s) by email or fax, as below, or by post to Obstacle Competition, 7 Gamma Terrace, West Road, Ipswich, IP3 9SX, before 23 Feb. Put your name and contact details on the paper! Look at our wonderful prizes! | ||

Please send your design(s) for indoor obstacles to me by the end of 31 January. Your drawing need not be to scale. Gates A to D or E must be clearly marked with a directional arrow, as must the start/finish flags. Roger Alway will judge the entries and his decision is final. You can submit one or several designs. Make sure you put your name and contact details on your drawings. In the van there are, to build two obstacles, six straight post and rails, four L-shapes and up to four barrels. You can't use everything for one obstacle! Your magnificent prizes are having the winning design built and used at an event and a portable cd player, kindly donated by Viking Direct.
