On Sunday 21st/Monday 22nd our daughters Hartland Burgundy carriage was stolen along with all tack and harnesses. The carriage and tack was left to my daughter Samantha by Sylvia Mactaggart, Sylvia died this February after a long battle with cancer. Sylvia taught Samantha to drive and encouraged her to start competing in club class with her Shetland Jerry at Wix equestrian centre. Sylvia’s dying wish was for Samantha to carry on with her driving and gave her the opportunity by leaving all her carriages, horses and tack in her will when she sadly passed away. The thieves broke into the farm by cutting off padlocks on gates, breaking the lock into the tack room and removing the security chain on the carriage. They then preceded to drag the carriage a quarter of a mile across the property to the back gate and load it onto a vehicle. The only items they left behind were the head collars and thankfully the ponies.
Anyone with any information about the missing items can you please contact Donna Moncur on 07976379581
