We have a small sand school. My Shetland pony is responsible for harrowing it with a specially designed harrow, small enough and light enough for her to do the job. It's good exercise for the pony too and helps keep her fit too. I'd be happy to email photos if you're interested.

We just use a hollow metal pole, it doesn't weigh much so very easy to manouver and does the job. As it is so easy to move we can really get into the coners and to the edges. |

We have been experimenting with various pieces of hardware(!) to find something suitable for our pony to pull around a friend's arena to level the surface. Does anyone have any suggestions? The surface is sand and rubber and well compressed. |
