The number of competitors at indoor events are increasing in some areas, almost to the un-managable! ALL events can run smoothly and to time with the co-operation of ALL competitors. Please make sure you are near the arena entrance well before your stated start time. START TIMES ARE ONLY FOR A GUIDE for you to be in the arena. Events can run AHEAD of time due to withdrawals or someone's P&P being done at the gallop! When the Cones are to be driven go straight in and start, don't go on a sight seeing trip around the arena, it all takes up valuable time. The same with the obstacles, you have walked them and should know where your course goes, no need to go on a picnic drive to make sure the gates have not moved. Yes, we know you have paid your money and want your monies worth BUT please think of the others waiting outside, (and the door steward who has been standing outside in the wet, cold, wind since 08.30am and still there when you go var/www, with the packing of equipment still to be done). The format of events has changed at some venues so that you do not have to put to four times but only twice. This is better for your horse - you and the organisers. If all competitors are ready and waiting, thus saving time more competitors can compete and not go on a waiting list. Think about it - it is a win win situation if everyone plays the same tune.
