Gorgeous Palomino Welsh D/Arab,Saddlebred gelding for sale. He is currently just over 15.1hh at the wither and 15.2 at his bottom! and should make around 15.3-16hh . He is 2yrs 9 mnths old .

He looks as if he will be quite athletic, and he has spirit and good movement. and has the makings and attitude of a good sports or endurance horse.

He is registered with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society as 50% Welsh D, and with the Arab Society as just above 21% Arab. The Arab,Saddlebred side of his pedigree includes Moonshine Vision, Zalaman etc, which are very well known Palomino lines. he favours this side more than the welsh I think. His pedigree can be viewed online.

He was bought from Kent at 4.5 months and lorried up here without proper weaning. This has obviously had an effect on him. He started weaving on day one when he moved to be with me, but on placing a perspex mirror on wall in stable, this stopped completely. I have since moved him to a barn type stable with visual and physical contact with his neighbours, and he no longer uses the mirror. (He used to cuddle up next to it and go to sleep!). He doesnt seem to mind if their is anyone in the adjacent stables or not, and has been in the block many times on his own during the afternoon.

He has not been messed with in any way and has not been lent over, long reined or started under saddle. He is a blank canvas to be started in the method of your choosing. I dont like to see fat youngsters and he has been kept lean to give his joints the best start and is fed on Topspec. The second photo shows him in full summer coat and condition (not to mention clean, which of course he isnt now due to winter!)

He has got on with any horse that he has shared a field with, and is good for the farrier. His worming, teeth and vaccinations are all up to date and he is in good health. He has travelled twice in a trailer whilst I have owned him, and he was a little star!

£1650 ono

My husband has genuinely been made redundant so sensible offers for quicker sale
