Hi Fiona,

My wife, daughter & I would like to also say a big thankyou to all involved at the weekend. We had a fantastic time and will be keen to compete at any events organised at Gt Yarmouth next winter.

A great big "thank you" to everyone for supporting this event!

Roger and Jean Alway drove the indoor driving van from Sussex, Roger stewarding and devising a devilish cones course, Jean being a constant help in the scoring box; Michael and Nicola Cooke made their debut as precision judge and writer, helping throughout the day - Mike even had a go commentating for the obstacles. Beverly and Bill Page were absolute troopers, not only writing and holding up the numbers for our paces judge, Gemma, but also being keen arena stewards and enthusiastically embracing every new job all day. Caroline Watts was another cheerful maid-of-all-work all day. Martin Vincent and his father were pleased we came and several "locals" said they'd like a go...

If anyone wants to start a season in Great Yarmouth, you'll get lots of help - it ain't difficult (even I can do it!) so please think about it and get in touch if you want to know more.

We just need a couple more helpers. Thank you!

Dean, yes, I'll post the times here very shortly - we are planning to start at 10 am and so far we only have 10 entries so it will be a short day, but a jolly one!

You can download an entry form for Humberstone and print it from www.inharness.co.uk

See the var/www page - button top right corner.

Closing date is 11 March - (but before 15 March would be great!) - we want as many entries as possible.

Thank you for your interest.

Yes, this will run as a "normal" indoor event except that the BDS members are invited to take part "just for fun" in P&P and cones as Michael Cooke, the Norfolk BDS AC is sportingly organising it. IHDTC members can compete in all phases, as usual. Rules as normal with a Club class for all carriages of non-standard width.

I'm trying to get drivers around Great Yarmouth interested in starting a new area next winter... It's a super new arena with a lovely surface.

Hope you are tempted? Please come along and watch or help? We need a couple of writers for the morning, a steward or three and helpers. If anyone wants to learn to score, we can teach you!

Thanks for your interest!
