Regardles of which team wins, the competition will be fast, exciting and furious, as all teams have experienced drivers. I sincerely hope that ALL competitors have good insurance!!

Who remembers Boyd doing a wheelie up the dividing wall at the fair end of the arena? Phew! only a experienced driver and backstep crew could get away with that.

As for Paul C odds.....if you want to throw your money away on such odds why not try the Grand National. But then again - The Past Champions Team (NOT my Team Paul) is an extremley good bet at 20-1.

Looking forward to Saturday evening challenge.

Indoor International

This year for the first time, The Indoor Horse Trials Team will host an International showcase event based on the rules from the Four-In-Hand World Cup competitions.

In addition to the Home Nations of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales invitations have been sent to the European nations in the hope of offering a truly World Class spectacle.

The event will held on Saturday evening the 4th April 2009 at the well established Indoor National Finals held at The College Equestrian Centre at Keysoe in Bedfordshire where two obstacles will be set out, together with cones and a bridge. Drivers will be timed from the start to the finish, so even the cones are driven as fast as possible.

The new event will provide a World Class showcase for Indoor Sports Driving and an opportunity for indoor drivers to represent their countries at an International Event.

The concept, devised by James Broome, will be a fantastic chance for the best indoor drivers from each Nation to battle it out. The level of competition should really be something special.

Each participating country will put forward a team of two pair’s drivers and two single drivers.
Selection trials have been run in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales to determine the teams and the National Teams are as follows:

England
Manager: Barbara Nadin,
Team: Chris Orchard pair, Julie Hoskyns pair. Frank Campbell single, Cathy Willis single
Reserves: Fiona Powell single and Philip Reeves pair.
