14 years old, chestnut roan gelding available for loan (short or long term).
Easy to do, easy to shoe, is usually bribed onto a trailer or lorry; polos will do it.
Major has been driven all of his life as a single. Not spooky at all, very sensible in traffic with lorries, motor bikes and tractors etc. Currently put to a Bennington 2 wheeler. He enjoys drives out and is happy to visit new places. He will work in the field and go around cones but doesn't enjoy it. He long reins well at all paces when I don't have time or daylight to drive or ride out.
He is suitable for a novice driver but he is not suitable for a novice pony owner. He is a jolly, happy pony with a big personality and he likes attention, fuss and food. Unfortunately, he is both a good-doer and a laminitic so he spends a lot of his time on a managed diet and a lot of the summer in his stable or wearing a muzzle. He can be turned out all winter. I am happy to have him back in the Spring if you don't want to bother.
Major can be ridden and is hacked out alone and in company but is not really a riding pony. He responds to the voice and the hand but not the leg.
To be loaned at current location or within easy distance as I will want to be able to visit to ensure his well-being.
