Hi I am breaking my 13hh pony to drive and am looking for an exercise vehicle with a back step or a reasonably priced second-hand marathon vehicle to start him in. Any suggestions? I would prefer a back step so that my groom can get to his head really easily if needed....but no-one seems to make a basic exercise vehicle with a back step on! Well Sabrina de Lisle's driving bugs looked ideal but they are out of production at the moment Any ideas? I don't want to spend the earth until I see how he goes, I just want a good basic starter vehicle. But I would like a back step if possible. He is going so well so far, but we are getting towards the point of putting him too in the next few weeks if all goes well (we are taking it gently with lots of longreining). Any ideas? New or second-hand...but preferably fairly cheap.. If you wondered what relevance this has to the forum...I am hoping to do my first indoor event with my shetlands in October...and then if Rupert goes well I hope to get him competing as well eventually. So obviously something that I could do the first few events in too would be a decided bonus! Thanks Esther you can email me on e.k.drake@ncl.ac.uk or phone 01434 322398 |
