This is our 25th year of Championships and our second event at Arena UK.

Class schedule

See full schedule Open pony, open horse, intermediate pony, intermediate horse, pony pairs, teams and tandem classes take place on Friday and Saturday. Friday morning will be for Precision & Paces followed by cones. The first two obstacles will be driven on Friday afternoon as one and two. On Saturday afternoon, two different obstacles will be driven as three and four and awards presented at the end of each class.

The Supreme Championship will be awarded at the end of competition on Saturday, early evening, from the winners of the intermediate, open singles, pony pairs and pony tandem classes.

The novice junior, novice pony, novice horse, veteran and small pony singles and small pony pairs classes take place on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday morning they will drive P&P followed by cones. On Sunday they will drive the two obstacles as one and two, then again as three and four, class by class. Awards will be presented at the end of each class.

Small Pony and Novice supreme champions

Small Pony Supreme Championship awards will be presented directly after the close of the SP classes on Sunday. There is a cash prize donated by Helen Bridges for the highest placed Shetland Pony(s).

Also there is a new Supreme Novice Championship. This also will be presented after all Novice classes finish on Sunday.

Precision & Paces tests

There is an amended P&P test for the open, multiples and intermediate classes only. This is the 2022-23 season qualifier test with some paces changed. Two circles are now in collected trot and the diagonal is in extended trot.

All novice classes, veteran, and all small pony singles and small pony pairs will drive the same ICD 2022-23 test that has been used throughout this winter season at qualifying events:

Entries will be online only. Stabling and electric hook-ups can be booked directly with Arena UK here. Their link should be working shortly - see pricing in the ICD event schedule. There are plenty of stables available. If stabling is used, one stable must be booked for each horse and for each pony over 11 hands: two small ponies may share one stable, provided they are 11 hands or under and normally live together and their welfare is not compromised.

Arena UK permits the use of portable stabling only if it is purpose-built, secure and attached to a horsebox or trailer. Electric fencing, pens, gazebos, hurdles and any forms of corral are not permitted: these are Arena UK's rules and for everyone's safety and welfare of the horses.
